So, I thought about naming this post "One year down, eternity to go," but then I imagined what I would think if I read that (oh gag) on someone else's page and decided to spare everyone. You're welcome. So, yep, it's been one year. It's the strangest feeling... I can't believe we've already been married a year (it's flown by!), but at the same time, I feel like I've been married to Chris forever. All I know is that I'm so grateful for the choice I made one year ago today.
For reasons I don't think I'll ever understand, Chris and I have been blessed immeasurably. Don't get me wrong, we've definitely had our challenges, but we've been able to grow and learn more in the last year than I ever thought possible. I feel so different than I did a year ago. So much older, more experienced, and a tiny bit wiser (hopefully). I've seen and done things I never thought I would, and I'm grateful for it.
It's been a fabulous year.
I'll try not to make this too sappy, but I have to say it- my husband has become my other half and I love him more that I ever dreamed I could (sorry, that was a little sappy). But it's true... You think you love someone on your wedding day, but then you realize that the love you felt then was only a tiny fraction of what you feel a year later. It's amazing. wonderful. inspiring.
I love my life. Yes, it's crazy, stressful, busy and hectic, but it's also amazing, fantastic and glamorous(think fergie). Chris and I spent the weekend gallavanting around NYC. We walk jogged all of Central Park (seriously, like 10 miles), relaxed at Lincoln Center, watched movies, ordered roomservice and ate at some of our favorite restauarants. It was the perfect anniversary weekend.
Now a little update...
1. My job is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. We're currently working on our Broadway issue, so I saw just about every dance show currently on Broadway: Rock of Ages, Phantom, Lion King, West Side Story, Fela!, Chicago, Memphis and more... If you're coming to NYC and need a suggestion let me know. Some are family friendly and some are NOT.
2. We found an amazing apartment on the Upper West Side with sweet private roof deck and cute, little loft. BUT... it's bad timing. CT is close, but with bad traffic... it could be a commuting nightmare for Chris.
3. We're now Manhattan temple workers. If you come to the temple in NYC on Friday nights please come find us!! This calling has been one of our greatest blessings. My understanding and love for the temple has grown so much.
4. We're having a baby! JUST KIDDING. sorry mom.
5. I'm a graduate. Kind of. Still have to finish that Independent Study course. It's gonna be the death of me.
6. My family has gone global. Chris and I are in New York, Megs is in London and Andrew is in Asia (Hong Kong, Japan, Tokyo, Taiwan). My poor parents.
7. Macie is a Rockstar. She's so beautiful and talented- she did amazing at her dance competition this past Saturday... We're so proud of you Mace!
8. My parents make me happy.
Until next time (whenever that may be)... live your life and love it.
